Bug Description

Audio/Video is out of sync when using copy for both audio and video. It's worse at the end of the generated file.

The generated commandline:
mencoder dvd://1 -dvd-device /dev/dvd -alang English -info srcform=DVD ripped by acidrip.sf.net -oac copy -ovc copy -o /home/user1/dvd.avi

mencoder version: 2:1.0~rc4.dfsg1+svn33713-1

Report against acidrip as acidrip should at least warn if a generated commandline is known to produce bad results.

a/v sync issue is always there. I've tried multiple DVD's and both totem (gstreamer) and mplayer to play the file.

Having the same problem ripping my DVDs to avi file. Audio is not synced to video if I copy the audio, but it does seem fine if I transcode it as mp3lame

Hello All,

Please be aware that acidrip is largely a GUI for mencoder. This fault exists at the mencoder level. I have compiled the latest svn source code of mplayer (which includes mencoder) and the problem still persists.

Reverting back to version 1.0rc3 (available here: http://www.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/MPlayer-1.0rc3.tar.bz2) solves the problem.

This bug should be reprted here: http://www.mplayerhq.hu/DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html

Many thanks,
Guy
