Bug Description

Binary package hint: mplayer

When using mplayer without gui (/usr/bin/mplayer) there are no subtitles anymore and the osd doesn't work as well. The Keys "J "and "O" (and some more) aren't working.
I'm using Maveric Meerkat and the video files are .ogm, .mkv and similar.

Kind regards
 Hakaishi

the problem seems to be related with -vo gl2

It's been awhile since I reported this, but as far as I remember I tried other video settings as gl, xv and so on...
I can't reproduce this problem anymore because I've returnd to Lucid Lynx... I do hope that this problem won't consist till Natty Narwhal.

adding "yuv=0" to the video settings solved this some time ago. I've added it in the ~/.mplayer/config like this: "vo=gl2:yuv=0"

Ah! And this problem was not only for gl2, but all video output drivers.
