Bug Description
Binary package hint: mplayer
When pausing an avi video with smplayer, gnome-mplayer or gecko-mediaplayer, the video does not resume when clicking "play" again. VLC works fine. This doesn't happen all the time, but usually after a while watching or when pausing after using the seek bar. To force the video to resume, you have to go forward or backward with the arrows, then the video starts to play again.
I'm using kde-minimal and kdeplasma-addons over a command-line only installation from an Ubuntu 9.10 alternate CD.

Hi, I can confirm this bug too. I'm not 100% sure, but it appeared after I upgraded some upgradeable packages last week.
In the mean time I've build myself a new mplayer from sources using the latest svn version, but I encountered the same problem.
