Bug Description

When watching a video streaming from the web using the mplayer-plugin, the video and the sound skips every one second or so. Seems like it's skipping each time it gets a new segment of data.
It's very annoying and makes the video barely watchable.

Note: the original reporter indicated the bug was in package 'mplayerplug-in'; however, that package was not published in Ubuntu.

adding srate=48000 to /etc/mplayer/mplayer.conf fixes the bug.
It seems like it only happens with Intel HDA audio cards.
