Bug Description
Binary package hint: mplayer
mplayer needs to be patched to work with OpenChrome hardware acceleration.
This patch by Ivor Hewitt and others enables VLD XvMC with optional deinterlacing and fallback to Xv if XvMC is not supported for the particular file format. The patch is a collection of three patches that have been floating around the unichrome and openChrome mailing lists.
http://
./configure may need to be updated to include:
--enable-xvmc_vld
Have attached a slightly tweaked patch that cleanly applies to linux_2.6.28-11.40 in Ubuntu jaunty

What is the source package that this patch is intended to be used with? It does not apply cleanly against the mplayer in Jaunty.
