Bug Description

Binary package hint: mplayer

Currently the function of pressing . (dot) does a step forward but there is no way of stepping backwards. E.g. pressing , (comma), should result in a step backwards.

Implementing this would complete the stepping functionality.

In 2.0-728-g2c378c7-4build1 only '.' works to go one frame forwards. ',' does not go one frame backwards.

That wasn't the question.

OK, now I understand you after reading the man page.

quote from man page: " . Step forward. Pressing once will pause movie, every consecutive press will play one frame and then go into pause mode again."

This is outside the scope of what Ubuntu as a project does. You will need to convince upstream to implement this functionality. Ubuntu will not prepare the code or carry a delta for this purpose.
