Bug Description

Binary package hint: mplayer

In Ubuntu 8.04.1, mplayer package 2:1.0~rc2-0ubuntu13, -fixed-vo does not function properly. fixed-vo is supposed to initialize a maximum of one window when playing multiple files. To demonstrate a simple example of it being broken:

1. Choose two video files, which I'll call video1 and video2.
2. Run "mplayer -fixed-vo video1 video2"
3. While video1 is playing, press "f" to switch to fullscreen mode.
4. While video1 is still playing, press ">" to switch to video2
5. At this point, video2 will start playing but not in fullscreen mode
6. video2 should, instead, remain in fullscreen mode because the existing window should be reused instead of the video1 window being destroyed and the video2 window being created (with its default setting of non-fullscreen)

I don't know how helpful it is to know this, but in Gutsy, mplayer package 2:1.0~rc1-0ubuntu13, -fixed-vo worked appropriately.
