version 1.4 available since over 1 year, 1.3 buggy

As posted on http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/news.html MPlayer 1.4 was released in April 2019.
If fixes a compatibility issue with ffmpeg affecting various codecs but not evident with all video files (luckily), e.g. hevc and flac, resulting in image freeze followed by gray image gradually augmented with delta content until the next I frame.

Upstream reports this issue fixed in 1.4: http://trac.mplayerhq.hu/ticket/2353

The formalities:
1) Description: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS Release: 20.04
2) mplayer: Installed: 2:1.3.0-8build5
3) smooth and error-free playback
4) in some videos, picture freezes, then is replaced by grey screen, content re-eppearing gradually
