Theora file plays in high-speed bursts

Bug Description
Playing an Ogg Theora file, the video plays very quickly for a while, then pauses. The sound plays normally, then when it's caught up to the video, another high-speed chunk of video plays for a while.

The "Multiple fisbone" message seems to be irrelevant, because the same message is written by mplayer2, which plays Theora files fine.
