Bug Description

Running mp321 as "mpg321 file.mp3" results in corrupted harsh-sounding sound output. The problem appears to be related to its use of ALSA:

$ mpg321 file.mp3 # BAD
$ mpg321 -o alsa file.mp3 # BAD
$ mpg321 -o oss file.mp3 # GOOD

For comparison:

$ mplayer -ao alsa file.mp3 # GOOD
