Bug Description
Ubuntu 16.04, MPD daemon 0.19.12
From a fresh install of Lubuntu 16.04.1
From time to time, while playing songs, MPD gets stuck. It goes into a loop repeating a tiny section of buffer (maybe 1/4 second long.)
I can break it out of the condition by sending a pause command from any client, then sending a play command.
The musicpd.org does report an issue with ffmpeg that 0.19.21 fixes.
Since MPD doesn't actually crash, Apport doesn't help.

The ffmpeg issue fixed in 0.19.21 is a crash, no? That would be a different bug. But does it go away with a newer version of mpd?
Do you think it's possible your problem is related to slow hardware?
Does mpd log anything useful while this looping occurs?
