Bug Description

Binary package hint: mp3blaster

Ubuntu 10.10
mp3blaster version: 1:3.2.5-3

Apparently /dev/dsp doesn't exist anymore, but the precompiled x86_64 package depends on it.
Putting "AudioDriver = sdl" in my .mp3blasterrc file resulted in an error.

After downloading the latest source (3.2.5) and running ./configure --with-sdl=yes --with-dsp=no && make && make install, the error was gone and audio was functional. However, I was unable to use control volume.

Using "AudioDriver = oss" I also had sound, but was still unable to control volume from the program.

I think this is a duplicate of #752091 because the SDL was forgotten to be compiled in. So I marked this bug as a duplicate of the other one as the other report contains way more debug information.
