Bug Description

Binary package hint: mozplugger

Ubuntu Hardy

Mozplugger 1.10.1-2ubuntu2

Whatever PDF viewer is configured (I tried with epdfview, evince and kpdf), mozplugger seems unable to swallow the window, whereas on other x86 boxes (including the chrooted ia32 environment on this machine) it is.

This also happens for me. When I click on a link to a PDF in Firefox, the document opens in a new instance of evince and the browser displays a blank solid gray tab.

This happens to me too. I'm running 64-bit Hardy, mozplugger version is 1.10.1-2ubuntu2_amd64.

I don't know what the behaviour is supposed to be for other document types, but if RTFs and the like are supposed to be swallowed in an OpenOffice window (which would be my understanding from the config file), that doesn't happen. So I don't think this is specific to PDFs.

Attached is a screenshot of the problem I believe you are describing.

I am running intrepid x86_64 with mozplugger 1.12.0 pulled in from the jaunty repos.

It does not appear to be fixed in 1.12.0 and the lack of window decorations make this problem annoying.
