The crach happens every time you start thunderbird?

It is important to know that to understand if it is really a bug.

Hi Tom,

yes, every time i start up the thunderbird that comes packed together
with ubuntu 6.10 distribution it just throws segfault (that happens
for all the updates of a thunderbird that came along), however when i
am using original thunderbird from mozilla's site it works just fine.
