Bug Description

Firefox includes a "massage" script that executes the "mozilla-firefox" bin with
the correct parameters. This massage script is what helps the email client
launch urls into a running firfox. The same is needed for proper mailto:
functionality in thunderbird. If thunderbird is the current default mail
handler and you click on a mailto: link in firefox everything works ok if you
don't have thunderbird already running. If you do, it launchs the Thunderbird
Profile Manager because it detects that the existing profile is already in use.
Idealy it should attempt to use the proper -remote url commands to open a new
email message dialog. the /usr/bin/firefox script should be able to modified to
function the same way for thunderbird.

by this i mean that the /usr/bin/firefox script should be used as a template to
create a similar script for thunderbird (maybe /usr/bin/thunderbird?)

I realized that /usr/bin/mozilla-thunderbird IS a helper script. It just
doesn't work correctly. clicking the thunderbird icon should attempt to use an
already running version of mozilla for mailto's and when attempting to lauch
another thunderbird process. If one really wants another profile to be in use
thats what the profile chooser is for. I reworked the subject to better reflect
the problem.
