Bug Description

On a fresh installed 14.04.2 LTS box, fully updated, trying to open a file from the terminal emulator caused the crashed.

Steps made:
~$ pkexec mousepad Documents/po-file-check.sh

(mousepad:3931): Mousepad-ERROR **: Cannot open display:
Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped)

~$ lsb_release -a && uname -r

Invalid since pkexec was only shiped in Xubuntu from Utopic onwards.
