Following upgrade to lucid, mountall fails making the system pretty much unusable.

i'm getting this error when trying to upgrade from karmic to lucid
i'm running karmic on a VPS (xen)

but the mountall version included in my server is 1.0, giving me the same error and i cannot upgrade to 10.04
by do-release-upgrade

Marking as confirmed, not sure of the exact cause - but i experienced this on hardy->lucid
