Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

Attempted to upgrade Kubuntu 8.04 x64 to 8.10.

Update manager worked, then complained about problem with Motion package (separate bug filed). Then it continued.
However before cleanup phase it has repeated message about Motion package and then unexpectedly terminated. It offered to send bug report - done.

Now, upgrade logs are attached. Looks like update has been mostly OK but no cleanup phase has occured :(

Yes, that's true. It also fails in similar manner if other packages fail to upgrade. However motion is not a critical package so there is no reasons to fail in such way (as well as in case of any other non-critical packages).

I think this bug can be closed as it is more than 10 years old and the OS versions referred to are no longer supported. Also the current version of motion works fine out of the box without this error.
