firefox crashes after upgrading to Linux Mint 9

Bug Description
I have upgraded to Linux Mint 9 using the apt-get dist-upgrade method. Then I tried to execute firefox, it shows a window a few tens of a second and then crashes.
Launching it from the command line I get the following messages:
# firefox
NPP_GetValue 1
NPP_GetValue 2
Attempting to load the system libmoon
Segmentation fault
I found a work-around:
#sudo apt-get remove libmoon
(which in turn removed also "moonlight-
affects: | ubuntu → moon (Ubuntu) |
