Just updated to ubuntu 7.10, the system is up to date.

I haven't upgraded yet, and won't upgrade soon.
Maybe, anyone else can test this?

Thank for your reply @Claudius, since this report has a long time when was published but, is it possible that you can reproduce this issue in latest ubuntu Karmic and check if this problem persist?

I avoid upgrading without need ;-)
The 9.04-system is the newest installation at hand.

But maybe another guy is willing to make this test:

    * installing the package mondo and
    * typing the command stated above as root

and waiting a bit is all that has to be done.

With a 9.10 system I got the same problem when I started a script with a modorescue call inside using sudo. If I start the same script as root the mondorescue works without Problem!
