Bug Description

While doing "m-a auto-install ndiswrapper" M-A is complaining that it doesn't find my kernel headers. Attaching screenshots of the error messages.
But they are obviously installed:
shahar@shahar-desktop:~$
shahar@shahar-desktop:~$ sudo m-a prepare
Getting source for kernel version: 3.8.0-4-generic
apt-get install linux-headers-3.8.0-4-generic

linux-headers-3.8.0-4-generic is already the newest version.

apt-get install build-essential

Done!

Thanks,

I have the headers installed but I still get this error. In fact, I also tryed to compile ndiswrapper from the trunk but I also get an error with headers not found.

This affected me when trying to build a tp-smapi module (battery information etc) for my thinkpad.

Apparently the Debian team have fixed this with an updated version of module-assistant:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=702648

I haven't tested it and am happy to wait for Ubuntu to send out their update through the normal update process.
