Bug Description
Binary package hint: modemmanager
The UMW190 is Verizon's current CDMA *PLUS* GSM offering. Modem Manager / Network Manager fails to use it because it is being detected as a GSM modem, even though here in the USA, it needs to be used as a CDMA modem on Verizon's network.

Upstream modem-manager fix is:
http:// cgit.freedeskto p.org/ModemMana ger/ModemManage r/commit/ ?id=49097b6de5d aa63de84f163868 25de5b17590fcc
but confirmation that it works (preferably in the referenced gnome bugzilla bug) would be nice. This fix will treat the device as a CDMA device instead of GSM, since the device reports that it can do both command sets.
