huawei e1750 3g modem not work

Bug Description

3G usb modem Huawei E1750 not work with today's lucid.
When I insert modem new filesystem found, and internal card reader mounts. That is all. No new connections appears in network manager, as it should.

I changed the package selection to modemmanager.

I had to add to /etc/usb_modeswitch.d/1446:12d1:

# Huawei Mobile Broadband E1750

DefaultVendor=0x12d1

Now modem is detected successfully, but it does not connect successfully.

Modem is not detected as an huawei modem, instead is detected as a generic modem and speed is very slow
