Bug Description

I'm using karmic koala 9.10.
I have installed my huawei e220 broadband mobile modem. it was automatically detected. it also connects to the internet every time. however when i open up my browser chrome. it can't browse the web. i have tried firefox as well. 1 out of 10 times of connecting and reconnecting and removing and reinserting the modem the connection works properly and i'm able to browse the web. my usb dongle works fine on older versions on ubuntu. I have also tried a different dongle on my pc and it still causes the same problem. I have tried different internet subscribers. still same problem.

Your help is greatly appreciated.
