o2 is always either spelled

o2 (small letter)

or

O<sub>2</sub> (capital letter, subscript digit)

but never O2 (capital letter, plain digit)

This bug is present on Maverick again.

Can anyone re-open? I'd like to prevent opening a dupe report.
