openshot conflicts with kdenlive, and libmlt4 with itself

Bug Description

after today's updates in Ubutnu 12.04, 64bit, openshot had been removed. When attempting to reinstall openshot, unmet dependencies were python-mlt3 or *mlt2, and following further, attempts to install python-mlt3 results in missing libmlt4. When I try to install tat, synaptics wants to uninstall kdenlive, libmlt5 and other.

Looking into the dependencies of libmlt4 it says that it conflicts with itself!

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1009409/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.

it might be libmlt4, but the problem might just as well be within OpenShot or Kdenlive

affects: ubuntu → mlt (Ubuntu)

To me, the problem is that kdenlive depends on libmlt5, while openshot depends on libmlt4, but libmlt5 conflicts with libmlt4.
Definitely, openshot should be updated to use the new version of libmlt.
If I'm not wrong, there is bug open in openshot with status "fix committed".

A few minutes ago, I've successfully (and without any problems) installed OpenShot v1.4.3-1 from their PPA (http://openshot.org/ppa/).

It seems to use libmlt5 now and doesn't conflict with kdenlive anymore.
I need to use both applications in parallel, so... :)
