python gtk programs miss the bottom part when opened in full screen

Bug Description

Using ubuntu 12.04 desktop edition, 64bit, unity, default clean installation.

When opening Miro and tv-maxe in full screen, the bottom part of the window, a strip about 10% of the height of the screen, is not drawn.

When restoring the window (un-maximize it) the content is fully drawn (good).
When re-maximizing the window the content is fully drawn (good).
