Can not insert search text in Miro

Binary package hint: miro

In the Miro guide I am not able to insert text into either the search bar at the top or in the search bar on the front page within Miro. I can insert text in other parts of Miro, just not the guide area. If it helps I pasted the output of the console below.

I do not know if it relates to this bug, but when I clicked off the guide and back to the guide I can no longer get the guide. It is simply a blank page.

This also affects me in lucid 10.04 on 64bit AMD it also happens to any other site you add eg youtube etc.

I added the upstream bug (13296). We were seeing this problem only with Miro on Linux platforms with XULRunner 1.9.2--we never saw it with 1.9.1, so this particular bug report is puzzling.

I'm working on a Miro 3.0.2 release that includes the fix for 13296. We're testing it out now and hopefully it'll come out soon. I'll be pushing the packages through our miro-releases PPA:

This is fixed in Miro 3.0.2. We switched from XULRunner to webkit for the embedded browser.

I can confirm that the bug has been fixed in lucid 32bit (at least on my system) after adding the miro-releases PPA as suggested by will. I haven't got around to checking it on my 64bit system but I will post the result when I do.

I believe that this can safely be discarded since it is reported in Lucid which is no-longer supported on the desktop, and the fix was confirmed by upstream release.
