Bug Description
Binary package hint: miro
I just upgraded from 8.04 to 8.10 by update manager yesterday. However, the miro application was disappeared on my menu, and it seems never be installed. So I use synaptic to install it once again. The synaptic indicated that the miro-data was installed already. However, when I install the miro, it reported that it cannot over write the file that belonging to miro-data. Lastly, I uninstall the miro-data and then install the miro as new. The installation was completed. Finally, the miro work again, and all previously downloaded are keeping properly.

Hm. That log does not have sufficient information for me to diagnose
this. I suspect that you have a version of miro-data from a 3rd party
(probably getmiro.com) repository. Can you please add the output of
running the command
"""
apt-cache policy miro miro-data
"""
in a terminal?
