removing and reinstalling metacity did not help.

latest updates doesn't seem to solve the problem.
compiz/metacity can be enabled now. however, the transparency aspect doesn't work. i'm using cairo-dock.
i have completely removed cairo-dock and reinstalled, and transparency still doesn't work.

EOL have been reached, so no more maintenance. If that issue still exist, then report again using ubuntu-bug.
