Metacity reduced_resources weirdness

Bug #35414 reported by Jonathan Jogenfors on 2006-03-18
Affects Status Importance Assigned to Milestone
metacity (Ubuntu)
Ubuntu Desktop Bugs
nautilus (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

I have set reduced_resources to "on" in gconf-editor to allow gnome to run smoother on my old box. This means that when I move windows I get an outline of the window as well as four lines over the window I move.
Problem is that sometimes the lines don't disappear from the window (i.e. nautilus).

Screenshot is available at

Steps to reproduce:
1. In gconf-editor, set apps/metacity/general/reduced_resources to true
2. Open nautilus and maximize the window
3. Double-click the titlebar to restore the window
The lines should now have appeared like in the screenshot

Screenshot of the described problem. Note the black lines above the window.

Sorry, seems like I filed this in "nautilus" instead of "metacity". I don't know how to change it now that the bug is reported, so could someone please enlighten me?
