Metacity-3.24 crashes Xorg while installing Microsoft Office 2013 using winehq-stable

Metacity crashes back to TTY's, as I use startx + .xinitrc, when reaching 82% of the initial MS Office 2013 installer with the following commands & syslog entries:

$ WINEPREFIX=~/.wine/Office2013 WINEARCH=win32 wine setup32.exe

I never got back to testing this as the need went away.
