2008-09-20 08:36:01 Kristof Bal description Binary package hint: kde The Dutch KDE translations in interprid are highly outdated. This is due to a (in my opinion) completely wrong translation policy. It seems that the hardy translations (from ubuntu) are used, and then updated against the latest source. My question is: Why? The dutch kde-team has already done this work (translating KDE 4.1.x), so why do this all over? It is a)Impossible to do this work in launchpad in just a month b)bad for the user, his favorite app isn't translated properly c)bad for kde-nl, since their hard work isn't used It's weird that ubuntu, that wants to give the user a fully translated OS follows this policy, since it will be bad for the user experience.
