Bug Description

Every app that requires GNUstep fails in a similar way:

$ TimeMon
2011-01-21 09:26:33.156 TimeMon[19685] Problem posting notification: <NSException: 0x1645a30> NAME:NSRangeException REASON:index is out of range in function _attributesAtIndexEffectiveRange() INFO:(nil)
Segmentation fault

$ Gorm
2011-01-21 09:27:45.696 Gorm[19698] Problem posting notification: <NSException: 0x2331950> NAME:NSRangeException REASON:index is out of range in function _attributesAtIndexEffectiveRange() INFO:(nil)
Segmentation fault

ProjectCenter fails slightly differently when it fails to load Gorm

$ ProjectCenter
2011-01-21 09:27:34.315 ProjectCenter[19693] Exception occured while loading model: in replaceCharactersInRange:withString:, range { 0, 41504112 } extends beyond size (0)
2011-01-21 09:27:34.316 ProjectCenter[19693] Failed to load Gorm
2011-01-21 09:27:34.317 ProjectCenter[19693] Could not load Gorm file: /usr/lib/GNUstep/Applications/ProjectCenter.app/Resources/English.lproj/ProjectCenter.gorm
2011-01-21 09:27:34.317 ProjectCenter[19693] Cannot load the main model file 'ProjectCenter.gorm'
Segmentation fault

In all cases, the app icon is displayed briefly in the lower left corner of the current workspace. With ProjectCenter, it waits until receiving a click, and then quits as shown above.
