Bug Description

Dear Developers!

This bug was found in Ubuntu 12.x, Ubuntu 13.04 and maybe present in earlier versions.
My keyboard layout switching hot keys are Alt + LeftShift.
This bug affects Save As dialogue of applications, which use standard Ubuntu Save As dialogue. The applications with their own dialogue (GeoGebra, SciLab) have no problem.

I am not sure that the Gnome is the provider of standard Save As dialogue. If it is not please correct affected package.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Set keyboard layout switch hot key to Alt+ Shift
2. In any Linux application with standard Save As dialogue (tested in GEdit, LibreOffice, GIMP, Firefox, InkScape) open Save As dialogue
3. Press "New Folder" or "Create Folder" button
4. Type any letter or digit keys
5. Press Alt (don't release) after that - LeftShift and release keys in any order to switch keyboard layout

Current behavior:
The new folder creation process is interrupted in the moment of pressing alt, no folder is created

Expected behavior:
The new folder creation process is not interrupted, typing additional keys will insert characters according to new keyboard layout.

Proposed solution:
React not at the moment of pressing but releasing Alt and only if no another key pressed between pressing and releasing of Alt.

Workaround:
1. Press shift and after that - Alt;
2. Use another hot keys without .

With best regards.
Viktor.
