Bug Description

After doing my updates today, my localization (german) doesnt work. I can select "german" in gdm, but gnome desktop is loading in wrong (en) locale. it doesnt show me the right chars (umlaute) in terminal.
In Administration/Sprachunterstützung all settings are done to german (de). I am not able to bring back my german locale.

Some people on the Ubuntu-nl forum & IRC complained about this too, but they say now it's fixed again after a new update and then loging out and back in (or a restart).

I think this might have been caused by bug #746694 or related bugs.

@Oliver, if this is fixed after you update to a newer gdm, please make this bug a duplicate (or just close it).
