Bug Description

same as summary:
gnome-keybinding-properties 'Toggle whether window is on all workspaces or just one' does not work. at all.

I use ctrl+alt+a for my keybinding. Tried a few different bindings just to see if it was in use prior and causing the issue.

Love this feature when using chat clients and talking to people while working on different workspaces.

If I can do anything to help pls contact me. <email address hidden>

After seeing bug #150690, I can kinda get it to work by disabling desktop effects:
System -> Preferences -> Appearance -> Visual effects -> None

I use desktop effects to show off Ubuntu to friends and also just for
fun : ).

My current way to handle the bug is to use alt+space for the window
menu, then press a ( I think it's a ). A little longer but at least I
can still do it entirely from the keyboard.

A side note concerning my new approach, shouldn't it toggle like the
minimize maximize? You can't have show on one desktop and show on all
desktops both activated. Here, both have there own hotkeys : /.

Thank you for the response!!

I can confirm this is a problem. The setting works if desktop effects are turned off (metacity?), but not if desktop effects are on (compiz?).

There doesn't seem to be a compiz gconf key for this setting under the compiz settings, while for metacity /apps/metacity/window_keybindings/toggle_on_all_workspaces - although compiz does support the functionality (Right click on window menu bar and choose "Always On Visible Workspace"
