Similarly to the issues raise in bug #372385 I have found out gnome desktop environment (version 2.26.1) is a dependency when removing epiphany- browser- data, epiphany- extensions, epiphany-gecko, cups-client via synaptic manager version 0.62.5.
Furthermore if you try to remove libcups2 package, the following packages are classed as dependency adobe-flashplugin, alacarte, apport-gtk, at-spi, bluez-gnome, brasero, compiz, dasher, deskbar- applet, desktop- base, ekiga, empathy, eog, epiphany -extensions, epiphany-gecko, evince, evolution, firefox 3.0,foomatic- db-engine, gcalctool, gconf-editior, ddebi, gdm, gedit, ghostscript, gimp, gksu, gnome, gnome-core, gnome-desktop- enviroment, tomboy, synapic and many more lib packages.
As you can see from the large list of depenacies this is quite a big problem.
I hope this information is usefully. Keep up the good work.
