Bug Description
WHAT HAPPENS: When starting up a clean KDE session on Kubuntu Intrepid Ibex 8.10, with no gnome applets or programs running, the session manager loads up a bunch of gnome programs that just happen to be installed: evolution-
Also, due to KDE4 still not being compatible with bluez 4.0, I have to use GNOME's bluetooth-applets, which calls bluetooth-browser. That's fine but when bluetooth-browser is called, it automatically redraws some root screen below KDE's root screen (it seems). This makes the background be drawn twice, which, besides being a waste of CPU resources, is also a waste of memory.
The double background is noticeable if you configure different backgrounds for gnome and KDE and then change workspaces with effects on in KDE 4.1. You can see gnome's background for a few tenths of seconds.
Description: Ubuntu 8.10
Release: 8.10
Codename: intrepid
Some KDE package versions:
ii kdebase-bin 4:4.1.3-
ii kdebase-
ii kdebase-
ii kdelibs-bin 4:4.1.3-
ii kdelibs-data 4:3.5.10-0ubuntu6 core shared data for all KDE applications
ii kdelibs4c2a 4:3.5.10-0ubuntu6 core libraries and binaries for all KDE applications
ii kdelibs5 4:4.1.3-

ii kdelibs5-dev 4:4.1.3-
ii kdepimlibs-data 4:4.1.3-
ii kdepimlibs5 4:4.1.3-
There are others, but these core packages should be enough to diagnose it.
WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN: KDE should load gnome programs only when needed. Also, when nautilus is called, it should recognize kwin and not try to redraw or take over the background. And after gnome programs are finished, gnome daemons should stop.
In debian etch I also can see the GNOME wallpaper from KDE 3.5.5 To be able, both the KDE and GNOME wallpapers must be different. From KDE, just open a terminal that has been customized with the transparent effect, and you can see the gnome wallpaper. I don't know if this is a bug or its normal. But I was surprised.
