Bug Description

This bug was originally reported upstream as https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=22946

The upstream report was made running mesa, libdrm, xserver and -intel from git. Now that mesa 7.6-devel arrived in Karmic, the same crash happens in a pure Karmic installation (same system, different lvm LV).

Reproducing steps:
Run googleearth, zoom in (lower altitude) and move around a bit. Then close googleearth and see X crash.

NB: the stacktrace in the upstream report is slightly different then the one in Xorg.log.old, because for the upstream report I built mesa without optimization.

Running Karmic at the alpha5+ level. The version of GoogleEarth in the repository, when closed, crashes the xserver, and puts the user back at the user login screen. The updates of the day before yesterday (9/9/09) seemed to fix the problem, but the updates of this afternoon, 9/11/09, restored the problem.

This bug has been fixed upstream. The commit is included in mesa 7.6 branch.
