Bug Description

I don't know enough to know specifically what caused this error. I know since I've upgraded to Ubuntu 8.04 (fresh install) I have had this issue, mostly when trying to install the proprietary drivers for my ATI card. The system will report that an installer is still active, even though there does not appear to be one open. When I try to open or run anything (from the command line) it will not open. This is the first time, after letting it sit for a long time, that I got a crash report to come up. Sorry I cannot be more helpful.
