Bug Description
When upgrading Ubuntu 12.04 to 12.10 (beta2) there appear artefacts in several applications:
In Blender, elements of the user interface appear black or without text.
In Google Earth (same install as in 12.04), polylines of country borders get fuzzy and the atmosphere isn't rendered as a smooth gradient.
In Trimble SketchUp (running through Wine, same install as before upgrading to 12.10), the "sky" (upper part of the 3d viewport) is black and the 3d viewport freezes after some time.

Andreas E., thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better.
As per https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/Releases, Ubuntu 12.10 reached EOL on May 16, 2014.
Is this reproducible in a supported release?
