glxgears and glxdemo: XIO : fatal IO error 11

Running some utils of mesa-utils show this error when you close the window. I current using Jaunty.

Hi,

I get the same error upon exiting glxgears and glxdemo.

XIO: fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server ":0.0"
      after 5782 requests (36 known processed) with 0 events remaining.

I first noticed it when working on my own OpenGL application, which caused X to crash every now and then when I closed the program. I assumed I was doing something wrong, but since glxgears and glxdemo also produce a SEGV signal, maybe my program just handles it less gracefully. I got the following backtrace in the Xorg log when X shut down.
