Meld halts (100% cpu usage) when one file does not end in new line

Bug Description
Meld ( 1.5.0 on ubuntu 11.04 x64 ) halts to 100% cpu usage and probably infinite loop, when comparing two files with one ending in a new line and the other not.
I can reproduce it the following way:
create file 1 and 2
file 1:
a\n
file 2:
b
Compare them with : meld 1 2
Other Relevant data:

Release: 11.04
meld:
Installed: 1.5.0-0ubuntu1
Candidate: 1.5.0-0ubuntu1

this issue is probably a duplicate of bug 774265 or bug 786134
can you try if the version oneiric fixes the issue: /launchpad. net/ubuntu/ +archive/ primary/ +files/ meld_1. 5.1-1_all. deb
