Bug Description

Cannot save changed unless I try to close and opt to save them through the dialog. To reproduce it, compare two files, make a change, note the "*" in the changed file. Open the "File" menu and "Save" is grayed out. Look at the "Save" button in the toolbar, it's disabled. Ctrl+S doesn't work. "Save All" is enabled and works, though.
Using Ubuntu 18.04, installed 3.18.2 on top of it because tabs didn't close after save with the default version (3.18.0), I reported that bug (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/meld/+bug/1768369)

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all reported bugs in a timely manner.

However, according to this report, you are not using the version of this package for your Ubuntu release. Please downgrade to version 3.18.0-6 and let us know if you are still having this issue.

Thanks in advance.
