Bug Description

To reproduce:
  1) Use nautilus to mount a remote SSH (sftp) share.
  2) Start Meld 3.12
  3) Click "File comparison"
  4) Click one of the file selection buttons [with the text "(None)"].
  5) A file picker dialog opens. Observe that this dialog doesn't display network mount poing, but permits you choose network location manually (by clicking CTRL+L and writing sftp://user@host/folder/file)
  6) Pick some file on the SSH share mounted earlier, and click "Open".

Expected: Meld should display network mountpoints, because comparing with manually selected sftp://user@host/folder/file works fine

Actual: File/folder picker in meld 3.12 doesn't display network mountpoints

ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.10
Package: meld 3.12-1
Architecture: amd64
CurrentDesktop: GNOME
PackageArchitecture: all
SourcePackage: meld

Comparing with manually selected sftp://user@host/folder/file works fine - I think this bugreport should be forwarded to upstream meld developers - someone should report a bug at http://bugzilla.gnome.org

I am still having this issue in Ubuntu 16.04 using LXDE and Meld version 3.14.2

Network mounts are not supported. Using Lubuntu 14.04 and an older version of Meld it does work fine. Meld used pcmanfm file manager to select files. This new version uses an internal file selector which doesn't work.
