How to reproduce that bug :
1. sudo apt-get install medit
2. a) update-alternatives --display gnome-text-editor | grep medit
2. b) cat /usr/share/applications/defaults.list | grep medit
Result : Both commands won't show medit and after uninstalling Gedit, the system will pick LibreOffice Writer or Firefox for text files.
Tested on Linux Mint 16 Petra Cinnamon 64-bit, medit 1.1.1-2 |
