mediatomb fails to start with libffmpegthumbnailer.so.3: undefined symbol: av_fifo_alloc

I have the following output, and have tried many things to understand, but am stumped:

You're not using the ffmpegthumbnailer version from the archive, but a custom one (it's in /usr/local, which isn't touched by any package). It will probably work when you have removed it.
