Jaunty regression: Mediatomb stops working?

Bug Description

Binary package hint: mediatomb

I have mediatomb installed. It worked fine on early Jaunty releases but after recent upgrades and a reboot, I can't see the Mediatomb DNLA server from my Playstation3 and when accessing Applications --> Sound & Video --> Mediatomb, a browser is opened asking for username and password where in the past the Mediatomb user interface would show and let me browse my media collection.

Short term fix:

$ sudo service mediatomb restart
[sudo] password for user:
 * Restarting upnp media server mediatomb [ OK ]

Bada-boum - server working again...

Hi Anders,

   are there error messages in /var/log/mediatomb.log ??
   maybe this is similar to bug#212441
