Bug Description
I just uploaded a movie trailer (49Mb in size) to my Nexus 7 (2013, 4G version) and Nexus 4 it worked ok. After that I copied a full length movie (1.5Gb in size) and it did not show up in the Video lens at all. File itself is ok and playable.
Ubuntu touch version on both Nexus 7 and Nexus 4 is r248.

This seems to be a failure from GstDiscoverer. In particular, error code 5 is GST_DISCOVERER_
Perhaps try installing gstreamer1.

I used a couple of freely available files in different containers and audio/video formats from https:/
I'll add a failed case here for convenience and reference:
New file was created: /media/
Extracting metadata from /media/
Error when adding new file: Unable to discover file /media/
The service seems to corrupt memory and crash a lot if "enough" files have to be scanned.

The only difference with these two video files are that Audio track in the trailer is 44100Hz sample rate and the full length movies has 48000Hz samplerate. Audio and video codecs are the same.
